Basketball Scholarship Alert

LaRoche College Women's Basketball  program is recruiting for the following positions for 2014:

Point Guard (1)- Athletic and quick to fit our uptempo style of play.  Must be able to break down defenders and strong finishing with both hands. Leadership and directing capabilities are highly needed. 

Shooting Guard (2)- Athletic and long and can hit a multiple range of shots including from long distance. Should be able to run the floor well and play some back-up point if need be.  Defensively must be able to pressure the ball and cause disruptions.

Small Forward (3/4)- Athletic and aggressive especially on defense.  Would be looked to be able to defend the opposing teams' best guard.  Looking for a utility player that is ready to play multiple positions on offense as well as defense.  Consistent from 15 ft in, from an offensive range standpoint.  Should demonstrate significant skill getting to the basket and finishing plays. Have a passion for rebounding offensively as well as defensively.

Center (5)- Athletic and long and must like running the floor.  Should be able to score with back facing the basket and steady from about 12-15ft in offensive range.  Rebounding, protecting the paint, and getting to the free throw line are key characteristics when it comes to this position for us.
